Profile:
I am particularly interested in intervention research with youths, their families, and schools. My current research is related to juvenile justice systems, examining school, family, and learning concerns in these at-risk populations. I am interested in classroom management and ways teachers address acting out difficulties in the classroom. As part of my research and teaching, I provide and supervise teacher consultation to address these concerns, and others, relevant to teaching efficacy. My broader research interests and clinical expertise include: childhood depression, acting out behaviors, conduct disorder symptoms and aggression, pediatric consultation, family interventions, attachment, teacher-student relations, and classroom management. I teach an undergraduate course in adolescent development, and graduate courses in psychological assessment / intervention and consultation for the doctoral program in school psychology. I also provide consultation in positive behavior support.
